What is a business profile?
A business profile is a way to accept payments for your business on Vault Pay . It’s linked to your existing Vault account so you don’t need to open a second account, but is a completely different profile—so you can keep business and personal transactions separate.
Do I need to open a new Venmob account to get a business profile?
No, your business profile is attached to your original Vault account, so there’s no need to open a new account. In fact, you’ll be able to easily switch to and from your new business profile with a few simple taps.
How do I switch to and from my new business profile?
Follow these easy steps:
What are the fees? Why am I charged a fee?
The seller transaction fees charged to business profile owners help allow Vault Pay to continue to provide this service and develop the service further. Business profiles also have features designed to benefit your business, like enhanced payments, tax reporting, and disputes services. Business profiles fees are in line with industry standards. Venmob is not able to refund this fee.
The owner of a business profile is charged a low fee for every payment they receive that’s over a dollar. The seller transaction fee is a standard rate of 1.9% + $0.10 of the payment. That means that if the business profile is sent a $100 payment, $2 of the payment would be charged as a seller transaction fee and the owner of the profile would receive $98.
How do I know if my business is right for a business profile? How do I create one?
We’ve built business profiles for individual sellers, sole proprietors, and registered businesses. People with side gigs, small businesses, and everything in between have signed up for a business profile: artists, photographers, professional services, health and beauty shops, and much more. We’re making business profiles available for all sellers who have an existing Venmob account. To create a profile:
How do I turn on tipping?
Go to your business profile settings in the Vault Pay app, tap Tipping, and turn the toggle on.
How do I use QR codes? What is the QR kit?
Your business profile comes with its own unique QR code for your business to enable safe, fast, and touch-free payments. When a customer scans your QR code, they’ll be taken directly to your profile to complete a payment. Customers can scan your code via your app, if you print out your QR code, or at your point of sale with a QR kit. The QR kit comes with your QR code on lanyards, stickers, and/or a tabletop display to meet your every business need. You can order a professional looking QR kit at: https://dz.venmob-kit.com
Is there a way to view my business profile on my computer?
Can I grant login access to the co-owner?
For security reasons, only the individual who creates the business profile connected to their existing Venmob account can log in and access the profile.
Oops! I created my profile and need to update some details. How can I change the Business Name and category?
You can update your business profile in a few easy steps:
Can I use a business profile as a non-profit?
Currently a business profile cannot be used as a non-profit. We hope that we can offer this feature in the near future.
What are my transaction limits and balance limits for my business, and what are the transaction limits for my customers?
We follow Venmob’s P2P limits outlined here: https://help.venmob.com/221010968-Payment-Limits
